History
- February 1948 – Lake Drive held its first organizational meeting
- Autumn 1948 – Construction of first church building begins
- October 10, 1948 – First baptisms conducted by Lake Drive
- June 26, 1949 – Dedication Service for first sanctuary
- First deacons of the church were Cyrus F. Dorn & Arthur Morgan
- July 24, 1949 – Church held its first Revival services
- August 14, 1949 – Church sent her first representatives to the Tennessee Valley Association’s regular annual meeting
- 1952 – participated in her first “School of Missions”
- 1956 – Addition of Sunday School rooms completed
- 1973 – Addition of first Fellowship Hall completed
- February 24, 1980 the church held her first minister’s ordination service to ordain Robert O. Hall
- April 21, 1991 – Dedication service for additional classroom space which was added to existing Fellowship Hall.
- May 3, 1992 – Dedication of the church steeple
- October 25, 1992 – Dedication of the church’s first Baptistry
- May 6, 2001 – Dedication of new Sanctuary & classrooms
- Autumn 2002 – Cloyd Bell is ordained for ministry
- Summer 2002 – First church sponsored mission team travels to Arizona
- July 17, 2005 – Bobby Schafer is ordained for ministry
- October 28, 2007 – Herman Fox is ordained for ministry
- April 5, 2009 – Dedication of the new Family Life Center
