February 1948 – Lake Drive held its first organizational meeting
Autumn 1948 – Construction of first church building begins
October 10, 1948 – First baptisms conducted by Lake Drive
June 26, 1949 – Dedication Service for first sanctuary
First deacons of the church were Cyrus F. Dorn & Arthur Morgan
July 24, 1949 – Church held its first Revival services
August 14, 1949 – Church sent her first representatives to the Tennessee Valley Association’s regular annual meeting
1952 – participated in her first “School of Missions”
1956 – Addition of Sunday School rooms completed
1973 – Addition of first Fellowship Hall completed
February 24, 1980 the church held her first minister’s ordination service to ordain Robert O. Hall
April 21, 1991 – Dedication service for additional classroom space which was added to existing Fellowship Hall.
May 3, 1992 – Dedication of the church steeple
October 25, 1992 – Dedication of the church’s first Baptistry
May 6, 2001 – Dedication of new Sanctuary & classrooms
Autumn 2002 – Cloyd Bell is ordained for ministry
Summer 2002 – First church sponsored mission team travels to Arizona
July 17, 2005 – Bobby Schafer is ordained for ministry
October 28, 2007 – Herman Fox is ordained for ministry
April 5, 2009 – Dedication of the new Family Life Center
